Guidelines for staff/visitors
If you think a child is in need because they are suffering from harm you must do the following:
Act quickly and share the information with your Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL)
If you are unable to locate a DSL please report to the school office and they will assist you in locating a DSL.
All concerns must be reported before leaving the school premises.
Make a record of what you have seen or been told.
Report any concerns relating to the conduct of staff/ visitors to the Headteacher immediately.
Make a record of any visible injuries.
Never promise to keep "secrets".
Do not make assumptions.
Only ask simple questions - Who? What? Where? When?
If you are in any doubt about procedures for safeguarding children, please speak to a Designated Safeguarding Lead.
