UNIFORM
At Paxton Primary School, we take pride in creating a safe and supportive learning environment for our students. We ask parents to provide their children with the appropriate school uniform when attending school or participating in school-organised events outside normal school hours. We also offer a wide selection of school uniforms, including both new and pre-loved items.
EYFS
Green polo shirt (with Paxton logo)
Blue sweatshirt (with logo)
Mid grey trousers / skirts
Grey socks / tights
Black shoes (this does not include black trainers with flashing lights)
Smart grey shorts may be worn in the summer
KS1 & KS2
Blue blazer with Paxton logo (optional)

PE Kits can be worn daily as an alternative to the more formal uniform items.
FOOTWEAR
For safety reasons, children should not wear shoes with platform soles or high heels to school. During the warmer months, we also ask that children wear shoes that fully cover their heels and toes to help minimise the risk of injury. In addition, we encourage parents to avoid sending children to school in lace-up shoes until they are able to tie their own laces, as this helps children change independently and saves valuable time during PE and dance lessons.
JEWELLERY
For safety reasons, children are not permitted to wear jewellery in school, with the exception of stud earrings in pierced ears and small items of religious significance, such as a crucifix on a chain. To help prevent injury, children may be asked to remove or cover these items during PE lessons and games activities.
PRE-LOVED
Good-quality second-hand uniform is sold regularly by the Friends of Paxton School (FoPS) at various PTA events, and a wide range of uniform items is also available through the FoPS pre-loved uniform shop.

HEADDRESSES
Headdresses worn for religious purposes must be in a similar colour grey to our school jumper, hair bands should be blue, white, grey or black.
SUMMER
Children are allowed to wear smart grey shorts in the summer. They can also wear short sleeved white shirts or (green/white) polo shirts. Girls have the option of wearing a grey pinafore dress during the summer or gingham check dresses.
Please note: There is no requirement for children to wear branded uniform items. However, we require that non-branded items adhere closely to our uniform colours.
Please ensure that all items of clothing are clearly marked with your child’s name so that it may be returned to them if lost.
